Who should attend: All Fellows with a business idea or just need a little help to refine their concepts.
Details: The masterclass series hosted by the Entrepreneurs-in-Residence and other industry experts, seeks to unpack and address business challenges faced by Fellows at the various stages of business and across different functional areas. If you would like to join, host a masterclass or suggest a topic, email association@allangrayorbis.org.

Event: Startership
Date: 25 – 26 May 2024
Who should attend: All Fellows with or without a business idea who are interested in starting a venture. Unfortunately, registration is now closed.
Details: A weekend long initiative to support collaboration amongst Fellows to ideate solutions that solve some of South Africa’s problems. The theme for this year is Youth Unemployment. This event will be a space where Fellows can learn about the topic of Youth Unemployment from experts, learn from other Fellows who have built businesses, ideate solutions in a structured way, pitch their ideas, and hopefully walk out with an idea for their first or next venture.
Event: Association Wellness Event – Mental Health Workshop with Syked
Date: June 2024
Who should attend: All Fellows who would like to hear more on learning boundaries in the workplace and managing stress & building resilience

Event: New Fellows Careers Workshop with I Know You Know
Date: June 2024
Who should attend: All new Fellows who would like an introduction on how to manage their careers and what to expect from career coaching with I Know You Know

Event: Women’s Pitch Night & Founder’s Retreat
Date: 16 – 18 August 2024
Who should attend: Women founders in the Association of Fellows
Details: A retreat event, hosted for our women founders in the Association. The event aims to support women founders in identifying opportunities to break the gender norms in entrepreneurship, whether through group sessions, activities and workshopping, the event will an opportunity for the founders to find out more about certain gender lens opportunities as well as hear from other experts/female founders in the fellowship from previous years as well as ecosystem funders. The invite will be extended to all female founders, although we will have a cap of how many will be able to attend.
Event: Pitch Presentation Training/ Demo Day
Date: 05 September 2024
Who should attend: Founders in the Association of fellows who are interested in showcasing their business services or products as well as pitching their business to an audience of ecosystem partners
Details: This will be an open ecosystem where we will showcase our founder fellows, to other funders and ESOs. This will be a demo day, combined with a pitch competition, where fellows will have received some pitch training prior and then be able to pitch for some monetary prizes.
Event: Expand Your Horizon (within South Africa)
Date: 26 – 29 September 2024
Who should attend: All Fellows with an interest to explore South Africa’s hidden gems, and support an outreach activity
Details: EYH is a fun and insightful theme-based excursion. The event typically includes educational and fun activities, sightseeing, and of course an outreach initiative, inspiring entrepreneurial thought and action. The location, theme and activities will be communicated closer to the time.
Event: Founders’ Retreat
Date: October 2024
Who should attend: All founders in the Association of Fellows
Details: This will be a retreat event, where we will host all our founders in the community and support them through their business growth journey thinking and planning with the support of workshopping tools, panel dialogues, activities and sharing of resources. Seeing as this will be at the end of the year, it will be compulsory for the fellows who are part of EA throughout the year, although the invitation will be extended to all IVC fellows as well as all other founders.
